# A Piece of Canberra for Your Desk: The Original Wireless Bus Shelter Lamp
Few structures say "Canberra" like the humble bus shelter. Designed by Clem Cummings in 1975 and now heritage listed, these shelters are a much-loved part of the capital's streetscape. The Original Wireless Canberra Bus Shelter Lamp from Filament Family 3D Printing is a tribute to that design, built around one idea: **Form and Function**.
## Form: True to Clem Cummings' Original
The lamp is a true-scale model with no major change to the original design. It is a 1:25 scale replica of Cummings' 1975 shelter, standing 10cm x 10cm x 10cm. Nothing has been restyled or reimagined, so the proportions and character of the original carry through.
It is made locally in Canberra from biodegradable PLA. One reviewer, Alan Snashall, praised the "respect paid to the family of the original" and the accuracy of the miniature. Another, Penny, said she remembered when the shelters first appeared and wanted one "as a reminder of the past."
## Function: Freedom Without Wires
The lamp has no cord and no need for a power outlet. It runs on an integrated rechargeable battery, so you can put it on a bookshelf, a bedside table, a desk or a mantelpiece.
